GENERAL INFORMATION.

Kamensky sanatorium "Dniester" was founded in 1890. The founder of the Kamensky resort is a descendant of the ancient noble German family of Wittgensteins, the owner of Kamenka, Field Marshal Pyotr Khristianovich Wittgenstein, a hero of the Patriotic War of 1812. He appreciated the magnificent natural factors of the area. A reliable rocky slope carefully protects the valley where the health resort is located from cold winds, and on the other side the territory of the young park, which is adjacent to the Dniester River. The area is distinguished by a unique landscape, mountainous terrain, a special mild climate, refreshing clean air with a healing aroma of useful vegetation.

In 1976, a new sanatorium complex for 450 people was put into operation on the territory of the resort, with a successful project, where sleeping buildings, a clinic, a dining room, a cinema and concert hall, a billiard room, a bar, a cafe are located under one roof. A full range of services without going out into the cold.

The health resort has its own drinking pump room, where cold and warm mineral medicinal water "Dnestryanka" is sold, an analogue of "Mirgorodskaya -2". Juice therapy (natural apple juice of local production) is also used in the pump room for diseases of the cardiovascular system and kidneys, according to the doctor's prescription.

In 2013, as a result of many years of research, a new artesian well of mineral radon water was drilled at a distance of 2.5 km from the health resort near the banks of the Dniester River, where the natural inert gas radon was determined in a mixture of water with a sufficient flow rate of up to 200 m³ per day and therapeutic content radon up to 760Bq/l. This fact is confirmed by numerous studies of the Ukrainian Research Institute of Medical Rehabilitation and Balneology.

Description of the resort

A hundred-meter rocky slope, like a reliable fortress, carefully protects the valley where the health resort functions from cold winds.

A complex of natural factors of the area, a special landscape, landscapes, relief, weather and climatic factors have a positive psycho-emotional effect on the human body. The area of ​​park and beach areas is more than twenty hectares. Directly on the territory of the health resort there is a well of therapeutic mineral water "Dnestryanka", which is not inferior in its properties to the world famous "Mirgorodskaya".

Prospects for development are associated with the use of wells of radon and sodium chloride water with a concentration of 17 g / l, as well as with the organization of clay treatment.

All of the above, even for a person uninitiated in the subtleties of medicine, suggests that the main factors for a good rest and fruitful treatment in our health resort are aerotherapy, air and sun baths, bathing in the waters of the gray Dniester, whose name the sanatorium itself bears. It consists of two dormitories with 450 seats, a medical department, a catering unit equipped in a modern style, an aesthetically designed dining room that can simultaneously accommodate up to six hundred guests, a cinema and concert hall with 450 seats, a library, and a medical department.
